it was pathetic n sad to see the pictures of the mbbs studetns in delhi being hit byh the policmen..!!!
i feel bad n cut off..coz i am far n sitting here in dubai but am jus waiting for ma exams to get over...n a,m coming to india..!!
its nice dat u hav reached the number of 1000 n i thnk it was an intelligent move to break the hunger strike coz at this point of time...we need strength n wen we all r there hand in hand den no worries...hope we reach r destination..!!
it was pathetic to read bout the statements of rjuin singh...ask him to bloody go n die!!
jus like the french took back their labour law proposal bcz of the protests...our fuking politicinas will b bound to do the same!!

Thx for the info. But curious to know if ther is any step taken for people in delhi ?

The only thing we are seeing is medical students protesting in delhi and bombay. Reservation is not only their problem but ours too. why we engineers are not doing.

Hum log hath pe haath dhare kayon baithein hai ? jaada kuch nahi to kam se kam hum un medicos ki help to kar saktein hai.

You will be surprised about the survey conducted... It's more alarming and frightening if the quota is implemented.

The agitation by medical residents and doctors in premier medical institutions is picking up. It would be great if we can join forces with them and IT professionals go on strike the same day. Just a thought ... you can work out the best way to do it ... but it makes sense to fight together when we're working towards the same goal.

I have been watching and reading closely all that has been going on with regards to the reservation policy. I think it is highly unfair to the general category students. A policy to give a chance to education to the economically backward student in case he has the needed percentage if a fair one. Even in the case of backward classes if the student has the required percentages he can be given a chance to admissions. But giving a chance to a person only on basis of being a backward class is not correct. I personally have been a Congress voter all my life but will not vote for Congress next time around. This will be my msg to all others also.

why is not some1 bringing a "PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION" against the government..where are all you LAWYERS...its not the time for peaceful protestations...the wrongs that the government did are:
1> taking a retrogressive step of reservation dividing the country on communal lines.
2>lathi charging n using water cannons on peaceful demonstrators.those were not criminals or anti social elements to be treated as such...
lets call an ALL INDIA BUND OF STUDENTS FROM COLLEGES, SCHOOLS...let the government realize that it cannot do whatever CRAP it wants...the steps taken so far haven't had the desired effect...
We need to do something DRASTIC... Doing something like RANG DE BASANTI wounldn't be a bad idea...
 

What I feel is Indian political system harbinges on vote count that is used to exploit people feelings,nepotism is rampart.

BARE TRUTH is reservation should be based on ECONOMIC criteria and not on SOCIAL criteria I mean you could not say today because your forefathers were socially upbeaten in society but unfortunately your first generation siblings are riding mercedez and heralding 50 hectares of productive land and luckily tagged as SC, ST or OBC so as to clear IAS with golden ease.

Here I cite China, two nations and plethora of researches comparing two nations exists in foreign literature citing reasons for why India compared to China is falling back even when both countries started reforms simultaneously.
China reservation is driven by economic criteria. Government gives facilities to people abiding by one child norm, and only one government job per family.

So what I want to highlight is technology driven professions count on intellectualism which is inherent in learning process. So make grounds fertile (provide them with infrastructure, money, facilities) for the so tagged officially backward classes so that when time is ripe (when time comes for competitive exams and job openings) they should be driven by merit alone.
 

Hi. Starting a political party would be a good idea, so we wouldn't have to depend on these old farts for effective representation of the country's interests in the Decision making bodies like the Parliament. As for money, what are we aspiring entrepreneurs for :)

This is crazy. What is the point of the fasting?

Whats stopping a SC/BC guy from fasting till he gets a 10k ppl support
and go on a march protesting that he wants the reservation.
He'll also march and we will also march which will result only in
blocking of roads (which are already blocked by traffic jams all over
the place) creating nightmares for the police/govt.

Now come on guys, we are educated, we can definitely do better than fasting and marching.

I am also against reservation. I am not one of the SC/BC/Reserved
class candidates, but things are going a little overboard here. These
marching and fasting will not solve the problems but it will create
more problems (in my opinion)

please stop this.. Why are you spreading this venomous hatred campaign against SC/ST/OBC students.. Don't you want equal oppurtunities to be there for everyone in society?

This entire thing stinks of casteism and hatred for the lower castes. Stop insitigating the upper caste medicos against the lower caste students..
 

its real pathetic to hear about the mbbs students. i really support their cause . when they dont treat patients on basis of caste why r they being admitted on that basis???...n as these ppl are getting so easy admission they just dont have the zeal to excel...
 

these people should have no reservations at all. they are also sanme as us. they are also human being as us. then why can't they come up with their own talant? why to treat the special?

I'll support you. We have to stand united becoz otherwise we can't stand against the might of the corrupt politician. I am ready to vote for a political party that is fair minded. But let the antireservation forum not turn into something against anyone becoz of religion or caste etc. Let it be a force that can turn India around. Let us not stand like sacrificial lambs taken to the slaughter standing quietly by the wayside while the political butchers take away our rights and freedom inch by inch.

We need to work in planned way, as reservation will never be abolished by the will of the ruling party only. As it is their bread and butter and every party supports it in their agenda for the game of votes and politics.

We need to target that issue which will disintegrate the ruling party Congress from its other allies and other parties. Only then other politicians from different parties will come forward to support our cause. It can be said that Congress has failed in implementing the reservation, when after so many years of providing reservation, still poor people are in need of reservation. Reservation is just the eyewash, and actually Congress wants to attract votes from backward classes and playing dirty politics. We need to attach many more supporting issues to this reservation issue that would show the failure of congress, so Congress party is BAD. If this will be motto, then focus will come on the credibility of the party, and eventually the party will try to makeover its stand on Reservation.
